honeslty darling

GOOD

-I’m really liking my job at Busch Gardens, and even though it’s not a show or anything I really enjoy the people I work with and like the flexibility it provides and the chances for creativity it allows. Unlike a show, which they do the exact same thing like 4-6 times a day or something for months, the beer maids get to interact with people and add things as we think of them/learn them. And it’s fun! Def better than a regular waitressing job or something.

-I got cast in a DC Fringe Festival show! It’s called Harmony, and it rehearses in Williamsburg! SO FREAKING EXCITED. The script is gorgeous, it’s written in poetry, and my character speaks Spanish and is kind of a mythical allusion to the spirit of womanhood. It will definitely be a challenge, and I’m the kinda girl that is always up for a challenge.

-I HAVE THE BEST FRIENDS EVER. Like actually, I just appreciate my friends so much every day. I think it’s cause graduation is getting close but everyone is just having so much fun and being awesome and I feel insanely blessed to be close with these people…

-ummmmmmm i’m fucking GRADUATINGGGGGGGGGGGGG in less than a week!!! holy shit dude. holy shit. how did the time go by so quickly!!! this is mostly a good thing, although I’d be lying if I said there weren’t some bittersweet parts. I can’t believe that I’m not going to be able to say that I’m a student anymore. That’s all I’ve been my whole life, ya know? But now I can say I am a professional performer, which is pretty sweet.

-I can sell my books back soon!

-My dad came down last weekend with all the furniture from my room and I set it up in my new apartment. The new room is starting to look pretty legit!! It’s actually crazy that I won’t really have a room in my family house anymore, though

-MOM AND I ARE GOING TO VEGAS IN TWO AND A HALF WEEKS FOR A BENDERRRRR haha no probably not, more like just seeing shows. and bungee jumping! (we have to check that off the bucket list.) but I can’t wait to take a break and see my mom and just be adults. I love being an adult with my parents. It’s so awesome to realize how much our relationship has grown over the years, to the point where I sincerely love and respect them so much and I think the feeling is mutual. 

-Mom and I are running the Rock & Roll half marathon in VA beach in September!! It looks like a really sweet race, and having a race in the (very distant) future is motivating.

BAD

-I guess this doesn’t qualify as fully bad because I did get a callback, but I just got back from a singing audition with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines and I didn’t get a job :( It was my first cruise audition ever, though, and the people who got called back were really awesome, so I am honored that I was given that consideration. It was definitely a good experience and I met some other performers so I’m not upset, but I really think a cruise job would be awesome…. maybe the future? Who knows what the future holds.

-I haven’t started studying for my (LAST EVER) final tomorrow and just honestly don’t care. Which really is not okay. I need to talk myself into caring because I want to get a good grade… surprisingly my grades for this semester have all been really good, so I need to keep that up. But i just dooon’t care. Hm. Maybe I will bribe myself somehow… 

So clearly, the good hugely outweighs the bad right now and I am so happy to be alive. I’m on the pursuit of happiness. YOLOOOO haha
